VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Parents are welcome in our classroom at any time. Feel free to join us for an occasional lunch, spend an afternoon with us, or volunteer in the classroom on a regular basis.

Do you have a special talent or skill you would be willing to share with us?
Would you be willing to come in and talk with us about your job, or maybe we could visit you at your workplace? If you would be interested please talk with me. Children are fascinated by the adult world, and I know there is much we could learn from you!

Here are some specific ways you can help our classroom this year.

*Listen and time individual children as they read
(Need to be able to commit to 1 hour per week on either Monday or Friday)

*Work in the computer lab
(Need to be able to commit to about 1 hour per week, any day)

*Work with individual or small groups of students in the classroom
(Times are flexible)

*Help with Science Exploration Days
(1-2 hours once a month)

*Field trip chaperone
(Dates still to be determined)

*Art Smart Teachers (Approximately 2 hours per month )

*Auction Project Coordinators

*Classroom Party Planner

*Correcting math packets at home

*Preparing art project materials at home

*Room Parent

*Guest Speaker

*Other ideas?

Please know that if your volunteering puts you in direct contact with children you will need to complete a Volunteer Form and consent to a background check. (This includes field trip chaperones.) This is a school policy and is meant to help protect all of our children. Thank you for your understanding.
