Lost Treasurestm

Mr. Kahler is currently the Lost Treasurestm Program Development Coordinator for The Institute for Earth Education.

Lost Treasures
tm is an earth education program for 8-9 year olds (3rd & 4th grade US) based in and around the school with excursions to museums, zoos, arboretums, parks, vacant lots, nature centers or similar places within the community.

Each classroom receives a full set of activity props including a treasure chest and large story book.

bulletLost Treasures is a two year program with weekly components throughout two full school years.

bulletThe program is usually facilitated by an outdoor center or an education officer, and is primarily teacher led.

bulletSuccessful program pilots have been conducted in Canada,  Australia, the UK and  US.  We need new pilot sites in the US.  Please contact me if you are interested in piloting this exciting new earth education program.

Our goal for Lost Treasures is to instill in youngsters a sense of wonder and care for plants, animals, and minerals, to introduce them to the magical places where those things are found together, and to help them champion both the members of the kingdoms and the lands in which they live.
