Annual Marine Biology Trip

Each year our 9th and 10th grade students explore the rich marine ecosystems found along the Oregon Coast near Newport.  Our annual three-day excursions typically include a 3-hour boat trip with Marine Discovery Tours, collecting fossils and tsunami sand core samples, visits to Hatfield Marine Science Center, and Seal Rock for tide pools. We have also begun research experiments on fouling organisms.  We camp out at South Beach State Park.

To learn more about our 2009 Marine Biology Trip see the article in The Gleaner.
